Hey guys! Many of you know that Barnes and Noble offers a discount to school teachers… BUT did you know homeschool parents qualify for that discount also? Here’s how it works: fill out a form with your contact info and grade levels for your children, and they provide an Educator Discount card you can use in stores and online.
You get 20% the publisher price for their books. That’s a pretty good deal! Even better – during their Educator Appreciation Days, we get 25% off. Every Saturday and Sunday in August are Educator Appreciation Days, so be sure to get your savings!!
So – the downside is that right now they are set up that homeschoolers have to come into the store to get the discount (bringing some proof that they homeschool – affidavit, email, access to online classes, they pretty much take anything). I didn’t want to go to the store (thanks to COVID), so they let me sign up over the phone. Just call your local B&N store, ask to sign up for the Educator Discount and they’ll do it all over the phone and give you your discount number right there. Easy Peasy!
Let me know if you have any questions!
