I’m not sure if I’m posting this in the right space, but I’m looking for some suggestions and direction on getting an 8 year old tested for Dyslexia.

    Thanks!

Your local school district offers evaluation and testing at no cost. I’m in the Alpine School district (here’s their website: https://alpineschools.org/specialeducation/special-education-parent-resources/) and they really helped in identifying the specific struggles with one of my children and how best to help him in providing the services he needs to overcome his challenges. You can choose to rely on resources from the school district, or provide helps at home, but it’s nice that they provide the service and evaluation.
