As your kids begin their Science Fair projects we want to make sure they have the information they need to make it great! No matter their age or the complexity of their project, we want them to have fun and enjoy the process.

 

It’s all about the process and discovering new things. We hope as they work through the Scientific Method they will be enlightened and filled with wonder. 

Please make sure they use the Scientific Method outlined here.

  • Define Purpose

  • Construct hypothesis

  • Test the hypothesis and collect data

  • Analyze data

  • Draw Conclusion

  • Communicate Results 

 

Video submissions will be accepted between 2/15/2022 and 2/28/2022, and should be approximately 2 minutes in length.

How to upload a video to YouTube using a web browser

  1. Navigate to YouTube in a web browser.
  2. Make sure you are logged in. 
  3. Click the Create a video button at the top of the screen. 
  4. The video upload page should appear. 
  5. Click the large arrow to choose the video file, or you can simply drag the video file onto the page.

To share a private video:

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left menu, select Videos.
  3. Click the video you’d like to edit.
  4. Hover over OPTIONS and select share as “Unlisted
  5. While in the “edit‘ screen, click “see more.” Scroll down and make sure that “allow embedding” is checked.

Below is the rubric judges will follow to award winners.  Each entry will be judged of its own merit regardless of the student’s age or skill level.

In addition to Grand Prizes, we are excited to offer a Kids’ Choice Prize! Participants will have an opportunity to review and judge videos submitted by their peers and vote on their favorite.
