Calling All Spellers!!

It’s time to sign up for the annual WHEN Spelling Bee! Every year we gather homeschoolers from the Wasatch Front to compete in a fun and challenging Spelling Bee. The winner of our Senior Bee (grades 5-8) will move on to the Utah Valley Scripps Spelling Bee!

Registration for the WHEN Bee is free for any current WHEN member. Registration will close in January 2019.

Requirements to Participate in the WHEN Spelling Bee:

• Student’s family needs to be current members of WHEN.
• Student must be in grades 1^st to 8^th

There are three divisions:

• Junior Bee A: 1^st– 2^nd grade
• Junior Bee B: 3^rd – 4^th grade
• Senior Bee: 5^th – 8^th grade

Please sign up to volunteer when you register by RSVPing as an Adult Volunteer. You will be contacted by our Spelling Bee Chair to arrange your position.

Volunteers needed for:

• Set Up (2 people) begins at 5 pm
• Check In (6 people) begins at 5:30 pm
• Clean Up (6 people) will end by 8:30 pm
• Photographers (3 people, one for each bee (Jr A, Jr B, Sr)
• Spelling Bee assistants (6 people: 2 for each Bee—one to direct children to the stage and one to give out certificates)
